"Elon Musk earned a B.A. in physics and a B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. The degrees were awarded on May 19, 1997." -Penn, 2019

I don’t know much about higher education, but Bachelor of Arts in physics sounds like BS to me.

There is very little meaningful difference between a B.A and B.S in Physics. B.A is a little less rigorous, but not by much.

That said, I don’t have confidence in Musk being able to earn either without some bullshit going on.

It's a Bachelor of Arts, I don't see how that detracts in anyway from him having a physics degree. I dislike Elon Musk just as much as the next guy, but there's no reason to shit on him for not having a bachelor of science in physics.

I love how you're being voted down and people who have no idea what s BA degree is are being voted up.

Supports my theory that most of lemmy is compromised of like 15 year olds.

A BA is just the rank below master's degree. It has nothing to do with art or science. The college degree hierarchy goes BA, Masters, PhD for most fields of study.
