Look at it all. The low-res background that doesn't scale right. All the styled UI as just tables of images. The awkward typography.

An interactive web app that shows you how much Mercator distorts the Earth by allowing you to set the center of it anywhere you'd like.

I'm a huge weather nerd and found this website while looking for new weather sites. I've kinda fallen in love with the windows 98 y2k aesthetic and all the cat gifs lol

Also doesn't disappoint with the weather data but some parts of it are a bit slow to load

Do you sometimes get frustrated at how slow your computer's operating system can be? Now is your chance to prove that you could do a better job!

Behold the nerdiest game ever, in which YOU are the operating system! As such, you have to manage the computer's processes, memory and input/output events, and try not to get rebooted by an impatient user. Good luck!

I got pretty addicted to this recently. I found it very randomly while looking for code examples on the personal website of an author of a computer graphics book, and there was a link "Board?". An hour later, I am no wiser about computer graphics, but was mildly entertained.
