Hello everyone, I want to implement new habits. I have set up a system, but I often forget to follow through. I've tried using apps and phone reminders, but I find myself either forgetting or feeling overwhelmed when looking at my phone. Is there a smartwatch that can help remind me to stick to my habits?

I quit my job but now worried about money

Quit my job, but worried about money.

I had to do something very hard today. I had to quit my job. It was not a decision I took lightly. Unfortunately it was my first real job and it was sponsored by vocational rehab, which makes me feel bad about quitting. However, I need to prioritize my mental health. I am a 25 year old individual living with multiple disabilities including type 1 diabetes, adhd and anxiety. The job was causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. I spent 4 hours at the therapy office yesterday. They are also adjusting my anxiety medication, I’m still testing adhd meds. I would like to work but I’m not sure what I want to do. Sitting around and collecting disability is not an option. There has to be something im good at. Both my boss and vocational rehab are proud of me for prioritizing my mental health. However, I am still worried about money, despite the fact that I live with my parents. If I don’t work, I won’t be able to have an income. Money is a big stressor in my life. And I’m also trying to not feel like a failure. Maybe I can craft or sell something on etsy. Or freelance/gig work. There has to be something I’m good at. I’m just not sure what. My plan for now is to priorize my mental health, and I asked my therapy office if I was able to come in twice a week so we shall see what they say. I’m probably not the first one to quit my job due to stress. But I’m afraid I’m The first one to quit their first job. Thank you for taking time to read this post. It was very hard for me to write.

I want to hear about the kinda mean but true thing someone said to you that shocked you into gear.

Sometimes nice and cute motivational quotes or even the ‘you’ll regret this later’ anti procrastination quotes don’t work. So comment the ruthless piece of advice someone gave you that really made you realise you had to start now.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

As we power through another exciting week, I'm curious to know: What's on your to-do list today? Are you tackling tasks that are easy-breezy, moderately challenging, or are they the kind that really push your limits?

Let's talk about our goals. Whether it's a small step forward or a giant leap in your journey, every effort counts. What are you aiming to achieve today?

I hope your day is not just productive, but also fulfilling and inspiring. Remember, every task you complete is a step towards progress – not just in your work, but in shaping the future.

So, let's share, motivate each other, and make this Tuesday truly transformative!

Have an amazing day!

I see a lot of people on their discipline journey saying "i'm going to cut out drinking", "I'm going to cut out gambling", and many more things.

However, that's simply not enough.

You can't just cut things out and expect to change. The real change comes with REPLACING. You cut out gambling... replace it with investing. You cut out drinking, replace it with exercise.

Here's what happens when you cut something out without replacing it.......... NOTHING

Guess what's going to happen when you don't replace it..... you're going to go back to your old habits out of boredom.

The human mind and body crave routine and activities. If we don't consciously fill these spaces with new, healthier habits or activities, the ease and familiarity of old habits creep back in.

So next time you say you want to stop doing something... replace it with something better.

Frustration can be a good thing and I'll tell you why. When you are frustrated with something, you are experiencing cognitive dissonance and that means that the world around you isn't matching up to your expectations. The fact that you can get frustrated about something means that you have goals and intensions for a final outcome. When I 3D model something and get frustrated the program isn't doing what I expect, I can count that as a good thing: I have a clear and vivid idea of what the final outcome should be. If I were to take up something that didn't interest me at all, say dancing or ballet, I wouldn't get frustrated because I don't have an expectation for a final goal. When you get frustrated, it could be an indication that you are on track to meet your goals. Frustration is a concept familiar to everyone who has ever learned before. When the value of the final product you envisioned is worth more than the mental toll of frustration, it will likely happen.

Get frustrated today.

Try not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime.

A message from Life to you

Today, we are putting you on a diet. Don't worry, you can keep those cookies I am talking about a mental diet. Just for today, try to cut out all worries, fears and complaints.

Whenever you catch yourself munching something negative Spit it out and replace it with a portion of gratitude.

You got this!

P.S.: Dealing with negativity is a piece of cake. Well, not cake. You're on a diet. A piece of apple for you!

“I wish I had not spent that money on that, it was a poor choice.”

“We should have never moved here.”

“I should have done that, not this.”

“I really wish I had never listened to that person for doing this.”

Regret is a feeling that can arise from different situations such as a purchase, a reaction to a situation, or a decision at work. It is a feeling that we can change.

We all make decisions every day based on different factors and reasons. Do you have any regrets about the decisions you have made? If yes, what are they and why?

Regret usually stems from the belief that we should have acted differently based on a poor understanding of the situation, mainly due to a lack of information.

We all make both good and poor decisions based on the information we have at the time and the expected outcome. When things work out well, we consider our decision as good.

However, when things don't go as planned, we tend to blame ourselves with negative thoughts such as "I should have known better" or "Why was I so stupid?"

So, what can we do? Firstly, we need to trust ourselves and acknowledge that we made the decision based on the information we had at that time.

Secondly, we need to reflect on our decisions with curiosity and compassion rather than being judgmental. We can write down our thoughts about the decision and try to understand why we made the decision in the first place.

We should not beat ourselves up for making a poor decision. Instead, we should approach it with a positive mindset, such as "it didn't work out the way I wanted, but that's okay. What can I do differently moving forward?"

Lastly, we need to move forward, regardless of what has happened. We can ask ourselves why we are dwelling in the past and how it is helping us now.

We may need to apologize to ourselves or someone else and explore what we need to do to let go of the regret.

The key is to allocate our energy towards something more productive and value-added.

Overall, we all make bad decisions sometimes, but we need to learn to move forward and let go of regret.

By being forgiving towards ourselves and acknowledging that we made the best decision we could with the information available, we can overcome the feeling of regret.
