I see a lot of people on their discipline journey saying "i'm going to cut out drinking", "I'm going to cut out gambling", and many more things.
However, that's simply not enough.
You can't just cut things out and expect to change. The real change comes with REPLACING. You cut out gambling... replace it with investing. You cut out drinking, replace it with exercise.
Here's what happens when you cut something out without replacing it.......... NOTHING
Guess what's going to happen when you don't replace it..... you're going to go back to your old habits out of boredom.
The human mind and body crave routine and activities. If we don't consciously fill these spaces with new, healthier habits or activities, the ease and familiarity of old habits creep back in.
So next time you say you want to stop doing something... replace it with something better.
