Got into the beta and it’s watered down compared to Tarkov, but it’s actually made with UX and optimization in mind. The mobile version is a competent mobile extraction shooter, but they clearly understand why Tarkov has a cult appeal while also understanding why it stays cult.

Example: user experience in inventory is improved by allowing to roll up rollable items like an empty duffel or chest rig, which Tarkov lacks. There are also macros to “sell all” and whatnot that Tarkov lacks. Better realism and experience every time I’m interacting with my extra chest rigs. I highly reccomend keeping an eye on it if you like the idea of Tarkov without actually enjoying Tarkov.

I suck at Tarkov and this mod for SPT-AKI is everything I wanted. Can load in to a raid with a friend using a self hosted server and play together against AI PMCs that for me are quite challenging and pose a massive threat.

Raids feel alive with constant gunfire between scavs and PMC it honestly feels like the real deal but without the hackers.

Anyone with Tarkov gathering dust in their libraries I'd suggest giving it a go. I'd imagine its boring for the real Tarkov sweatlords but that's not me

Legacy of Kain is my favorite video game series ever. Melodramatic vampires played by classically trained actors using competent Fakespeare and ridiculously convoluted time travel with highly specific rules to tell an amazing story that has maybe a dozen actual characters in it. They all talk at length about destiny and irony and whatnot and the vampires suck the blood out of their victims telekinetically in a coherent stream, and Raziel fucking eats souls. Also Raziel is played by the same guy who voices Chaz Finster and Drew Pickles in Rugrats.

Someone remade the cutscene from Soul Reaver 2 where Raziel confronts Kain and Kain's like "actually check this shit out" and has the famous "suppose the coin lands on its edge" quote in it, absolute fucking banger squirtle-jam

CM Spitz was fired. While frothingfash Discord drama queens might be because sicko-hexbear-woke

It is most likely because comrade Spitz led the review bombing on the PSN requirement. The timing is too coincidential.

Made a super cool druid (I love druids in D&D and seeing the movie made me want a character with wild shapes again). This time I put the game's difficulty on easy so I can actually beat it. The farthest I got was into chapter 2, near the end.

Can't believe I completely missed the news, I remember being really excited when they first joked about collaborating however many years ago.

Unfortunately, I hate to say it but the game looks to be a bit, well... crap. dean-neutral

Visually it reminds me of Swery's first indie game, THE MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories which was also a rather spartan-looking 2.5D platformer with whacky visuals and tons of violence. I assume that's a limitation of the probably tiny budgets he's working with these days, so I guess I can't harp on him too much for it, but still, it's disappointing to see when his early games had him ambitiously punching way above his weight class.

As someone who loved Deadly Premonition it's just sad to see Swery continue to flounder.
