Does Nuclear count as Green Energy? I feel like it should, since it doesn't really pollute and lasts a lot.

I found this great thread on Mastodon. It gets the arguments from https://www.californiavolunteers.ca.gov/10-ways-to-take-climate-action-from-home/.

I posted the Mastodon link because there's a discussion there about it, not just the arguments.

While I’m dubious of the claim due to the robust permissions management in the latest versions of iOS and Android, it is interesting that a company has come out and said they are doing what everyone is thinking.

And yes they are a subsidiary of the parent of Cox Communications, the ISP, so I would be switching to a competitor ASAP if I had their services

I assume they also lost access to their games. If so, I've said this before and I'll say it again: if buying isn't owning, then piracy isn't stealing.

Why do you think they were pushing so hard for WEI? They did try to fundamentally change how the internet works.

At least Android actually gives you freedom. What other alternatives (that actually work) are there? I'd rather have a phone with an OS made by an evil corp that I can actually control, than an OS that doesn't even let me install apps not approved by the manufacturer.
