0.5/10 without the birb. 17/10 with the birb.

Passwords and lotsa creds. I know an infra engineer who stores all of the keys to the projects he's involved in his message to self Slack. When I asked him about it he told me 'when I found out that the company billed my time 5x my salary to clients I stopped caring' and I was like OK that's fair ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The thing is, Valve works mostly as a collective with mostly flat structure. So there can't be a higher up ordering people around to make HL3. The whole team needs to believe in it.

Larian pls make a new series based on the Pathfinder ruleset. I think the success of BG3 has helped the mainstream to get used to DnD ruleset. Although Pathfinder is more complex, I think they have the chops to make it more accessible to the masses.

This, when I got out of the you need to chase phase I started having much more success on the dating aspect of social life.

Shooting your shot early works best, if they're not interested no harm no foul. I've even had one become my wingman basically and introduced me to her friends. And let me tell you my dudes, girls make the best wingman.

Growing up with not much also conditioned you to eat everything on the off chance you can get a full meal. This has been a point of contention with my SO several times. They came from a well off family and they have no problem not finishing their food or not using some ingredients in the fridge whereas I've been conditioned to finish all meals no matter what and to be able to use up everything (not letting stuff expire) stored in the fridge.

Reportedly Gaben has implemented safeguards to prevent Valve from getting public after his death. So at least we can hope Valve doesn't go public in our lifetimes.

You don't. If you live where cars are not needed, e.g. Tokyo, you'll just walk to your nearest small grocer and get the ingredients you need. That's what I did when I stayed in Japan for work.

Yep, my friend works in a Japanese company and his CEO only makes 3x his salary.

Yep, I also love the late 00s and early 10s feeling to Lemmy now. I find myself having more stuff done IRL since quitting reddit and browsing Lemmy occasionally.
