All the video games magazines would do an E3 issue and I remember binging on all the game announcements and event photos. Good times

They just laid off 10% of their workforce (14k jobs) and slashed almost all new job postings to cut costs but they're spending money on Twitter ads?

MSFT has a $3T market cap and $60B of free cash flow each year, so I doubt they're hurting for money. This is how "growth at all costs" incentivizes myopic decision-making and doesn't really help foster an environment where studios are willing to take creative risks. Even when they succeed (a la Hi-Fi Rush) they're on the perpetual chopping block.

Oat milk is the best alternative I've found. Most places offer it so I switched to oat milk lattes and haven't gone back.

If brewing at home, there are barista versions made specifically for coffee, but the original works too.

Recently moved over to porkbun after dealing with a couple billing issues with namecheap and not getting the best customer service. Been pretty happy so far.

I'm glad you guys took a measured approach. This right here is the difference between a corporation and Lemmy. I can't imagine a for-profit reversing its decision in the interest of the community unless it affected their bottom line or stock price. Hats off to the admin team for working through all these complex issues.

Good on them, hope more cases follow this precedent. We all inhabit the same planet and should have a vested interest in keeping it liveable.

Youth plaintiffs did not ask for any damages beyond their attorneys' fees and costs, which were awarded by the court. To young people suing, winning is seemingly just about pushing the state to embrace climate science and mitigate known harms moving forward.

Mad respect. People over profits.

I'd wager a sizeable number of half-ton pickup trucks are used solely as people movers, i.e. the bed and towing capabilities aren't utilized. In many countries, trade workers more than manage with light vehicles, like kei trucks in Japan, so I think they'd work for the average weekend warrior too.

Some places are drive-thru only after a certain hour or worse don't even have a dine-in option at all. I remember walking to a fast food joint next to my old apartment one night since it was the only place open and they wouldn't let me order because I wasn't in a car.

Hope more cities do this. Separating bike lanes makes a ton of sense. Bike commuting was stressful sometimes knowing the only thing between me and 4,000lbs of metal was a painted line.

Also would notice a good number of tailpipes faced towards the bike lane, which sort of negates the health benefit of biking to work.

I do woodworking and have gotten by with my Subaru but occasionally need to pick up 4x8 sheets of plywood, OSB, or even drywall for the house. An electric kei truck would be perfect. I'm rooting for something like the Canoo or Telo EV truck to make it to market
