I was gonna say something snarky about his WC win but I'm think I'm guilty of some internal revisionist history. He really didn't win anything else around then but in my head it wasn't as left field as that.

They got the AV referendum out of coalition with the tories and got massacred. Has enough changed that PR is vaguely plausible? Both main parties are weakened by factionalism but that will probably make their voters fear PR even more since it presents the risk of the "other" beating them. I just don't see how PR can be achieved without an actual implosion of a party. The tories are really teasing it but they aren't broken yet it seems (much to my surprise).

Tadej really leaning into the "pogi is a sprinter now" meme

They need punishments to hand out lower than relegation. Even just an official sanction would help highlight that closing out to the barriers isn't kosher so riders can't complain when eventually someone does get punished for this dangerous stuff.

I think it would be radically unfair to penalize jasper by taking away the win when he's so obviously winning the sprint whatever happens, but they have to do something.

He's the one at the back of the only functioning sprint train. Pretty easy to spot at the moment.

I agree it's not a nice or helpful colour, but kind of accept this stuff is for the sponsors at the end of the day, so meh.

Wout was in the break as satelite rider. That's how they get him to the finale coz he can't follow if the GC guys go on a bit climb halfway through the stage. Same as hautecam last year. He's so reliable and powerful in that role. There's almost noone else in the peleton that can do it.
