He's unquestionably the best stage racer, but that's not what the award is for. Just crowning the TDF winner has the lazy reek of giving the winning quarterback the superbowl MVP.

I would have gone for Pog myself because he was constantly in the mix against the best stage racers AND the best one day guys this year, unprecedented in the modern era.

Mvpd I think could have done more for himself by doing more than lead outs in stage races, but he's a double monument winning double world champion for goodness' sake.

Got my way a bit in the 2nd half. Still enjoy that 1 2 punch with Jonesey back.

Slow your roll 'muricans. I got off a plane in Massachusetts and now I have to order my breakfast sandwich on whatever the fuck a bulkie is instead.

I've always thought this would be the best option for essential services. Then it's there as a service provider of last resort in case a private provider fails. And if the private sector can indeed provide the service more efficiently even after paying it's shareholders, great, have at it in competition with the state offering. We even have this in places (see NS&I).

When the concept of a joint stock company is too egalitarian for you. Yikes billionaire franchise owners.

No no. He started with a balanced budget that then blew up. He did cut the deficit before resigning but it was still large.

To be fair, far too much credit and blame is assigned to govornments for a number that is massively driven by externalities.

Bummer. With how the line held up (or didn't) last night this really hurts.

Lived in NY for a while (manhattan) and travelled to a lot of other states. The comparison rings true for me, NY has it's own culture for sure.

The people who heard Gove say they'd "had enough of experts" and thought: "yup that's me, I hate people who know what they're talking about".

It's obviously condescending to say that it was stupid. But what's the more generous read of it? A spiteful protest vote against social progress? There could conceivably be coherent arguments for independence, but certainly there weren't any anywhere near the leave campaign.

Oh boy is it far from perfect. I like to think Jonesey and Watson coming back will patch the holes a bit, but I did think some of the misses were love underthrows not just receivers getting outclassed. The run game I'm more hopeful for, think the interior D of the saints is just that good and Jenkins probably moves tge needle a bit.

Best of all, what a phenomenally coached game.

Oh no. How did you decide which game was on? Or just in different rooms listening to each other making happy noises?
