With the power of unicode you can add eyes to any letter:

Yes, same is going on in Hungary for more than a decade:

  • we are useful to putin only if we are inside the eu, and they know it
  • economy is so much dependent on other eu countries that it would cost them way more than to the brits, state bankruptcy is very likely after an exit
  • "Brussel" is a very convenient nonexistant enemy, if something wrong happens they can just say "it was of brussel's spite"
  • eu funds are easy to steal, and general population doesn't even notice, the current decline of Orbán's popularity started when eu funds were frozen, the same cronies still need a lot of money, and as there are no eu support normal taxpayer money have to be stolen, now everyome feels that

Originally there were some guys living in a dorm somewhere in room 195. They started posting good quality shitposts on r*ddit on r/195. The subr*ddit started to grow, and they didn't want to deal with moderating a lot of people so they closed the sub. Followers of the subr*ddit started r/196 as a response. Than the apicalipse happened, and at the time r/196 was at its peak it was recreated here as well by the r*ddit refugees.

So it's a random room number plus one.

Comment I replied to:

had to discuss with admins of both sites.

In her comment:

I was told that you were thinking about moving to another instance. I offered my support if you decided to stay or to leave. And that was the last I heard of it, until one of your mods (possibly you if I remember correctly) told the community you were organising something with lemmy.world, and I had to hear that second hand. And then, when things were finalised and the decision to move was locked in, once more, I heard about it second hand, after your team made a public post, because no one from 196 could be bothered to tell me before posting.

I wouldn't call this discussion.

You can have multiple accounts, maybe on different instances, and you can upvote with all of them. A lot of clients allow easy account switching, e.g. in voyager if you tap on your username on the bottom bar twice, it opens an account selector dialog.

From the article:

According to the reports, soldiers failed to unload part of the train carrying over 1,000 tons of explosives in total, and the anti-tank mines continued to circulate around the country before they went missing.

Maybe Ikea needed the space to transport something, so they unloaded everything forgotten on the train.

Militaries surprisingly frequently loose weapons around the world:

Or they just wanted to support SCP-3008, but accidentally sent to a normal ikea ;)

Officials apparently became aware of the problem when the weapons were found sitting in the IKEA warehouse, at which point someone called the military to ask “when they would collect their mines.”

ok, that's not how memes work usually, because an important part is that an image by itself should contain the joke, and the title just adds something extra, OR the image doesn't have text, so it's clear that the title is important, but whatever, I see we got here some super low effort stuff.

I can recognize them unfortunately. But what are they doing in the car? Or should I see them as an overlay? Or they are on the left front side of Putin?

Due to high gerrymandering and messed up voting system it's expected that a result like this would still give Orbán a small majority in the parliament.

But Orbán won all elections since 2006 (in 2006 he lost parliamentary elections in March but won local elections in September, than won everything in 2010, than he changed the voting rules). Current system overwhelmingly punishes coalitions and small parties, and favors big parties.

Medián, the pollster behind this poll is usually one of the most accurate. Wiki page about recent polls, and the rise of Tisza Party: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_for_the_2026_Hungarian_parliamentary_election

Neeeee, vége van, a fenébe, úgy megnéztem volna még 2-3 újraszámlálást.

További kérdések, hogyan nyerhet Vitézy mégis? Csak van valami kiskapu, lennie kell, nem veszíthet.
