I have one of these front wheel conversions on a chopper-style bicycle. It'll slide out under you if you give it too much power in a sharp turn, but otherwise it's very easy to control.
Worth noting the battery and controller weren't mounted in the center, only the motor. So a bit different. The extra weight wouldn't help if I had to guess.
Paying for a Nextcloud provider would likely solve most of your issues. You can run a lot of services within nextcloud itself using addons.
For video streaming I use kodi+seren+real-debrid. This doesn't provide local copies, but I don't really need any. It's not hard to set up.
