Honestly I've really like longhorn (rook-ceph is awesome too if your big storage nerd like me, but it's also job into its self). So stateful workloads have never been an issue on k8s for me.

-the- For hardware.

So Bill-the-laptop Ishmel-the-hometheater Etc

Everything else is cattle to me. Function-namespace-random

But I'm a BIG Kubernetes rke2/k3s/harvester guy

Would absolutely love to see the EU fix the fedual kingdom style Interfaces of US cloud offerings. Like you can use things like Rancher to create a open interface that Interfaces with the absolute mess that is AWS/Azure/GCP/VMWare but it's just because they want to pretend their all just so special, which it's just network and compute for 99% of the time and the other one percent established open source software preconfigured on network and compute

Don't get me wrong hyperscailing infrastructure is fucking impressive to me (and the EU should lean with Open compute there IMHO), but the Interfaces I swear are intentionally garbage to lock people in.

OpenID is still a supported standard with an active standards body.

Probably add a red flag too. If career progression means management. Management is just a skill set, if getting promoted to that position is the only way "up" then you can expect a bunch of people who rose to the level of their incompetence in charge looking for people like them to promote under them.

In order.

Employees owned. Community coop. Non-profit Opensource Community or national service related Trade, manufacturing, backend IT related

Those are all attributes that push me to feeling better about the work personally. The exact opposite of for profit retail experience

Trump did praise China for that massacre before

Honestly, again, the same reason many people drink and smoke.

Social activity, cohesion, etc

Most people don't do most things rationally

Probably the same reason Europeans drink and smoke too tbh

The risk seems worth it. Either because the see it as lower than it is or that the loss of life less valuable than others see it.

I do love how it feels very much like a parody but turns into an honestly straight up good story on its own

Practice makes perfect, but this better viewed as steps to cutting them out of our lives and not just nudging them to stop supporting facism, destroying workers and our planet.

The need us. We don't need them.

Does anyone know if/when AMD will support Linux on their new NPU? If it's never or too far out, what is everyone else looking towards for open source AI development?

This issue is apparently tracking the Linux communities request for it.

Hello all, I am just curious if anyone has taken a tool like community rule to define how their instance or community control is handled? Even more so if there has been any effort to make the actual decision-making actionable by the system.

Cool seeming project make more open matrix communities with plans to integrate with the ActivityPub standard. I really like the idea personally of being able to quickly turn a chat thread into a wider post/thread.

Has anyone messed with using the very large jumbo frames for IPv6 for anything like video transfer, or large file transfers?

I'm curious if anyone has done it for firewall overhead reduction too
