It's like my university campus removing all ashtrays to stop people from smoking.

I'd throw a party.

I think some of them are legit trying to speed run the rapture. Trump checks many of the antichrist boxes.

Yup. "They rigged the election and now I'm president again."

So fucking nonchalantly too.

He straight up admitted on air that the election was rigged, and there hasn't been a peep from anyone

Unrealized gains means that the investment vehicle has increased in value since it was purchased, but hasn't been sold at that value. Every type of investment is going to have either unrealized gains or losses until it's sold.

So, one guy is going to go around arresting top officials of a dictatorship?

Correct. Voting federally isn't going to fix the situation. The last chance for that was November 2024 and it even turns out that was a lie.

If you want voting to matter, local and state elections are the only ones that can affect change, because for now the states still have their national guard. If enough state governments flip to blue, then there's at least a chance things can be salvaged.

The election was rigged anyways. Trump straight up admitted it.

While this is likely a fake image, this will happen with any old/new car collision because new cars are designed to crush like that.

Crumple zones keep you alive.

Have you ever watched Ink Master? Or check out Ariel de Jesus on tiktok. People can fuck shit up pretty bad.

They could have also used AI to generate a reference for the tattoo. My SO did that plenty when they had artists block, although they fixed any issues when redrawing it in their style.

It's helpful to point out to people that following established rules doesn't work when the people in power disregard them with impunity.

There's not going to be a legal or political uno reverse card that will stop what's happening. The only established mechanism that still exists to get us out of this is if the military does its duty and protects us from the domestic threat to the constitution.

But, with Trump replacing the joint chiefs and top JAG members, I'm not betting on that happening.

People need to stop living in the fantasy of, "we just have to wait it out for 2-4 years."

Their pay comes from taxes.

Our dryer crapped out a few months ago. It wasn't heating up, so I ordered a new heating element. It came with all new sensors, so I installed those too. One of the wire connectors was a bit loose, but I figured it would be fine.

Today, it stopped again, so I took off the back panel and sure enough, the wire was off. Plugged it back in, but no luck.

It's probably the thermal fuse, but I'm considering paying the $95 to have my home warranty send someone out to just fix it.

I'm only in the hole $25 so far, so maybe I'll replace everything again and see.

My suspicion is that there's something shorting out, though. It's definitely not a clogged vent, because I'm anal about clearing the trap after every cycle, and the vent pipe to the attic looks squeaky clean inside (and the vent tube from the dryer is clean too.

Edit: while typing this I realized that the loose wire probably caused the short, so I'll try to replace that sensor before calling someone. Thanks for being my rubber duckie.

Update: Problem solved. The loose wire was to the high temperature cut-off that sits in the coil housing. This caused the coil to get too hot and pop.
