Its not the CCP, though, it's Chinese businessmen. They wouldn't be buying a ton of property in the US if our laws around owning property were better.
The US allows foreigners to buy property. Not every country does. Chinese businessmen see US property as a good investment so they buy it. They are just looking for safe investments that they can't get in China. Basically, if you are already wealthy in China its much safer to invest in foreign countries, so that the CCP cannot claim it.
Its not a conspiracy, it's just capitalism.
One could hope, but the evangelicals got many of those Catholic judges installed. So they won't get to that point anytime soon. There's too many progressives, LGBTQ+, POCs, and atheists left in the US for them to target, still, and it will be that way for a long time.
That's a horrible outlook, and I'm sorry you've been driven to that point. I understand, as I have been there before.
Now that I'm older, I realize that pulling the lever is the right thing to do as much as it hurts. I don't think letting apathy win and watching the government go full Fash was the correct choice, but I don't blame you, or others who decided the same. The system isn't going to collapse, though, it's just going to get a lot shittier for awhile.

Orange asshole is definitely going to get more of those court appointments over the next 4 years. And they will all pretty much be there for the rest of our lives. Any sort of sense of democracy that the US had was probably dealt a death blow today.
I am close to the same age and something feels different now. The Trump administration is many levels of degenerate beyond the Bush administration. Even Dick fucking Cheney endorsed Kamala Harris FFS. I think Trump is pretty far beyond neocon, unfortunately. Just straight up Fascist.

The Democratic campaign underestimated just how stupid, racist, and misogynistic the average US citzen is. Don't get me wrong, they should've known and definitely could've ran a better campaign, but this is mostly on Americans being too dumb to know what's best for them.
I personally don't blame any minorities, considering white men and women were by far the most prominent Trump voters. The US is a country of racist dumbasses.
