No one is accusing him of rape. Just saying his view on the whole thing is sketch as fuck.

17 is enough to be a consenting adult in some actual reasonable countries.

My criticism lies only with people who staunchly defend him and/or consider him a good guy / hero.

I am not a lawyer or a judge.

I started growing a wildflower garden on huge sections of my stupid lawn and growing big ol' lilies around the perimeter for two reasons:

1. I didn't want to mow it
2. People kept walking across it waaaay too close to my front door
3. Keeping people away

Now I have the most lovely spite garden in the neighborhood, plus lots of clover and the greenest and most colorful yard compared to everyone else.

Definitely don't do it then. You don't want to be potentially contributing to a system of abuse.

Plus, you don't know if she's a victim, underage, a set-up, and/or has something you could catch.

Don't do something you'll regret soon after.

Folks be makin' jokes, but, sadly, animal trafficking is a real problem. Who knows what those poor snakes were going to be used for. It's tremendously sad.
