If somebody called me a seppo, I wouldn't be offended, I'd just think they were kind of dumb. It's just too silly to take seriously as an insult.

It's also called Gaia, but Gaians sounds silly.
I don't get the hype either, but maybe it gets better in the second half? I've never managed to sit all the way through it.
It varies so greatly in quality that most of it just tastes like drinking a scented candle. It doesn't help that I hate clove, which is frequently used in the spice blend.
By all means, try it if you get the chance. My experience with the flavor has been decidedly negative.
There's silly references and then there's just plain stupid. I can continue Dungeon Crawler Carl because it pulls back at least a little on the stupid. I put down Noobtown and won't be picking it back up again.

Personally, I don't read the quest dialogue unless there's some ambiguity about what needs to be done. I think I'd judge a game pretty harshly if there wasn't anything there at all though. I think the real question is if quest/map markers are undermining the effort to tell a story.
Lol, this is also wrong. Replace ape with primate and you've got something more accurate. If you actually care about maintaining phyletic groups then apes ( and thus humans) are old world monkeys.
Use of Weapons is next in the series and it is truly excellent. I like it better than both Games and Phlebas, though I haven't read a Banks novel I actually disliked.
Perfectly average, as most things should be.
I'd be worried that this will be used as a screen to kill "undesirables" without scrutiny.
