Alright, so we’ve been going through some issues with my overthinking, it’s come up before but we never really talked about how we can help eachother with it in a healthy way. This time it got kinda bad and she decided to “distance herself for a few days so she doesn’t snap at me”. It’s been more than a few days and I worry that it’s more than a temporary distance. She read my text Friday, nothing. I texted her again Saturday, nothing, and again Sunday and she read both of them, no answer. Im not sure if I should text her again, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I think I’ve figured out how we can heal eachother in a healthy way so as to not let the issue get in between us but stay out infront of both of us. I want to tell her this but I really don’t know how I should approach the situation. Here’s what I have written out:

“I know I should be giving you space, but I feel like I might not get the chance to say this if I don’t tell you now. I genuinely do have a lot of constructive things to say about the problem we’re faced with right now, and I really believe we can get through this. The past few times this happened we just kind of slapped a bandaid on it and didn’t really talk about how we might actually help this in a healthy way. If it isn’t too much to ask, id like to go through what happened and talk about how it went and how it all made each other feel, that way we can better understand each other, and we can avoid situations like these in the future. I feel like the whole thing is a mess of misinterpreted emotions. This relationship is very precious to me, and I refuse to lose it. This is gonna take work, and it’s gonna be hard sometimes but we need to stick together and be stubborn about our love. We need to realize that it isn’t the chemicals in our body that interact, but our souls that intermingle.”

Can anybody help? I was thinking about reaching out to one of her friends to ask if it would be a good idea or not, to talk about it a little bit but idk if that’s a good idea either. TL;DR: my gf distanced herself for longer than expected and it’s eating me alive, need help figuring this out.

Lol, wow. You need to chill the fuck out. Enjoy the quiet and go pursue whatever hobbies you have for a while. She might not come back, but I can guarantee she won't if you start harassing her friends to get her to talk to you.
