Sad to hear that's been happening on Blahaj. Full and unambiguous support from me! 🐝
I'm sure the Lemmy developers would like help triaging and finding root cause of issues! Here's where you can find their repos : https://github.com/LemmyNet/
I think personally that we should just give it time. We don't need to attract everyone and we've already got a lot of work to do.
I personally believe that what we have today is enough to serve as a battery for organic, natural growth through word of mouth. We just need to keep going and convince people through genuine effort that we can do better as a platform.
The problem now becomes that people will harass you and your followers on your posts way more easily now because they can just see all you do while you don't. It enables people doing the harassment.
Thank you for the appreciation post!
Thank you for your work! I wonder if this could be updated to include join-lemmy since it just points people to kbin.social. That might be confusing if they're trying to find a Lemmy server or well, simply other instances in general!
I'm both excited and terrified to be quite honest. While I expect the fediverse to grow quite a bit as a result, I also expect plenty of bad shit to happen as a result and I hope we can survive the load.
I'd love to see you redesign some parts of the Lemmy UI!
In my option, a lot of designing work is still to be done so I'd love to see mockups you can make and your thoughts on design work!
There does appear to be one on lemmy.ml, you can follow it with https://beehaw.org/c/[email protected]
Ban logs do federate but the effects aren't in the way you describe. Otherwise, someone could just ban everyone over night by making their own little server, that'd be uh, quite chaotic to say the least? Thankfully, this is not how bans work through federation.
Those are some interesting beauty standards
Right, that's what I imagined. If there's anything I can help with or if you just want to vent, feel free to DM at any time on Matrix
