The microcenter deals are very tempting, especially the 14700k. Anyone have a good estimate on how much a 9700k/motherboard/16g ram/850w psu/watercooler should be sold for? Around $600?

Please don't upgrade. People place way too much emphasis on bottlenecks. I have a 4080 and a 9700k, I'm obviously bottlenecked but I really have zero negativity when gaming.

The microcenter bundles currently going on are tempting me because for $500 I can get a 14700k/mobo/16gigs ddr5 ram and sell my old system for like $200.

In your case just wait. 14th Gen is a minor refresh so hopefully Intel brings out some big gains next year.

I have the 4080 with an OC 9700k and I have zero need to upgrade since I'm primarily gaming on my computer and everything runs great at 3440x1440. What makes you want to upgrade besides the fun in upgrading and prices especially at microcenter are pretty good?

No, upgrade your gpu if you want meaningful improvements to your games. I sold my 3080 and bought a 4080 for $888 including sold 3080 profits. Massive improvement to performance and I have an outdated cpu (9700k) too. No complaints running at 3440x1440 resolution.

I'd wait. Especially at 4k and even more so that the 14th Gen is just a refresh of 13.
