I could be down for small beer being the main thing we drink.

It doesn't make me any less upset to listen to the song itself, but that is fantastic, lol.

Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky". Those crispy awesome guitar riffs, and then you start singing some trite crap about Jeebus? It's maddening!

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

It's not warm when she's away

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

And she's always gone too long

Anytime she goes away

One of my favorite genres, always looking for more. Bonus points if it's currently on streaming.

I've watched the absolute hell out of That Mitchell and Webb Look, Kids in the Hall, Whitest Kids U Know, and obviously SNL and MadTV but both of those had a lot of ups and downs.

I saw the one season each that Astronomy Club and The Moth Effect had and they were both pretty good. I've seen some A Bit of Fry and Laurie, but can't find a good place to stream it. TripTank was basically a sketch show with cartoons, and I liked that a lot too.

I haven't tried these, but someone mentioned them the other day as being fantastic. I was looking for another good CRPG after I finish my current Pathfinder WotR run so I wishlisted the bundle, and apparently had great timing.

TAS 1x05, immediately thought of those celebrity name rhymes they did in Community.

I remember a lot more of those stick-on glow in the dark plastic stars, if nothing else.

Remember folks, you can't spell Mark Hamill without Arkham.

Not about to be swindled, the monk the pulls a gun from within his robe. "What's that?!" the startled vendor asks. "Ah," replies the monk, "this is my inner piece."

My only issue is that the expression on the statue looks fairly calm. The lady in the photo is fuckin PISSED.

So, when you remove what I assume is an announcement bot and lizard people from the equation, the answer is George Takei? Yeah, that sounds about right.

I used to play the hell out of 1 and 2 back in the PS2 days, but I haven't touched the series beyond that, and haven't even played 1/2 much in the last 10 years.

How would you rate 4 in comparison? I noticed it was on sale in the Switch eShop, and I'd love to have one of the series to play on the go.

What I loved about the ones I played:

  • Story had a good balance of comedy and heart
  • Flexible and fun character building, with decent enough defined classes to get you started
  • Tons of post-game/side content (I didn't like every piece of it, but I liked how much there was to try.)
  • CAPTAIN GORDON, DEFENDER OF EARTH
  • Perfect geochains, though I was usually too smoothbrain for it.

What I didn't like:

  • Item world, IIRC worse in 1 than 2?
  • Adell's siblings
  • Demon court thing?

Well, I can't say I can name even one of her songs, but if she triggers magats and has Luke Skywalker on her side, then I guess it's time to get Swiftie in here or whatever.

So the timeline of the new Trek movies starts with the villain Nero going back in time. When he gets there, he destroys a ship called the USS Kelvin. That ship was not destroyed in the original Star Trek timeline, so the new timeline is called that because the Kelvin's destruction was the first major point of divergence that lead to the other changes in that timeline

For those unfamiliar with the term "diegetic music", it refers to music that's actually played in the story rather than just for the benefit of the audience. The characters can hear it too.

With that in mind, are there any musicals where the characters acknowledge that they're constantly breaking into song? Buffy the Vampire Slayer's "Once More with Feeling" is the best example I can think of for this.

Hmm, "Illegal to strike" sounds a lot like "forced labor".

The fuck they gonna do, chain them to a desk? Newsflash assholes, jailing teachers isn't gonna fucking put them back in classrooms.
