There's only so much delaying can help a badly designed game, delaying only really helps those games that need that extra polish and likely won't be receiving it afterwards.

COBOL is still used heavily in banking, it would be the ultimate abandonware if it wasn't still getting supported.

It makes sense but it is also not just impossible but begging for a world power to step in and impose themselves. How would an union already incapable of helping Ukraine and dealing with internal turmoil in each of their countries suddenly project itself between two groups that want to kill each other and think they will be successful there. Hell, have you even thought about how Turkey and Hungary would react and try to exploit their own influence over such a protectorate?

Israel has been hating on the UN calling out their apartheid for decades now, and it is Israel itself who is principally responsible for removing any meaning from the term antisemitism itself. It is going to find itself very, very alone in the coming decades.

They seem to be going back to procedural generation for huge landscapes, but if Starfield is any hint of it, they still have their work cut out for them. I wonder, when people click on destinations to reach them instead of riding off to them like they did in Daggerfall, will people still call them out as "loading screens"?

In this regard, this is pretty damning: https://kbin.social/m/RedditMigration/t/554307/Just-wanted-a-warning-Lemmy-World-is-perhaps-worse-than-reddit

Also, adding having to agree to the Terms of Service when a new user creates an account is good, but does nothing when they create the user from another instance. Lemmy instances that want to implement this might want to consider forcing users coming from other instances to have to agree to general Terms of Service before they can fully participate.
