I made my account yesterday so I can't really say if I will stick with Lemmy in the long term, but for now mostly yes, most of the communities I like are here and Lemmy feels a lot nicer than Reddit. But there are a few communities that are still only on Reddit so I'm using both
with my 3rd party app of choise diem my reddit usage so no more reddit for me
Yes
I am definitely replacing Reddit with Lemmy/kbin. I am done with Reddit.
It's really not far off, Reddit is on borrowed time and so is twitter and the rest....
Yep, other than ending up at Reddit because I'm searching for something, which I'll call passive use. My active use of posting and commenting is entirely on Lemmy
I only ever go there to check the front page/news now. Lemmy is growing fast, but being decentralized, at the moment it's still easier to catch up on politics and world news using reddit.
Would be easiers by subscribing to theses communities until they merge in one. You will see more subjects that interest you.
Until the merge, I have different accounts with different orientations.
Actually, if u don't do that, Lemmy is really "hazardous".
I only post on lemming now
Once RiF went, so did I. After I replaced the app location in my phone with Connect, I didn't have any reason to spontaneously visit Reddit.
As long as I can use RES, I'll still visit when I'm searching for an answer.
Ditched! Didnโt look back. Really enjoying lemmy and content is picking up.
Maybe if we talked about anything other than other social media sites I would.
Yes
I'm caught between the two at the moment.
My Reddit app (Relay) is still working for now so I'm using that to browse the few communities that don't have a foothold here yet.
Once Relay kicks the bucket I'll be forced to browse in Firefox with uBlock and that'll definitely cut down the amount of time I spend on there.
I started by switching to Lemmy, loved it, but as I read more about Kbin I decided to give it a shot to combine both content aggregation and microblogging in one account. A bit less polished than Lemmy and no mobile apps yet, although some are in early development and testing, but I've been really enjoying having quick access to the best of both worlds.
Pretty much. I also started using squabbles.io the other day and am enjoying that so I think I'll be replacing Reddit with both.
I have! I closed my reddit account 3 weeks ago in protest and finally succeeded in standing up a Lemmy instance this morning. Yeah, I am not the brightest bulb but the dimmest either. It took some persistence and going through the dog's breakfast of the documentation of I got it done.
