My sister's house has this weird outlet. Any idea what it is?

On the left we have 2 older 2-prong outlets. On the right: .. something?

I have found the likely answer here: https://www.plugsocketmuseum.nl/NorthAm2.html

This appears to be a Radio Outlet. Apparently houses built between the 20s and 40s had radio antenna coils in their attic and outlets like this to plug in and get better radio reception.

Cool stuff.

Well I’m sure glad you found the answer because I was having no luck at all. Really cool find
