I'm just curious what everyone's favorite wrestler is at the moment. Doesn't matter what promotion, just tell us who you're interested in.

I'm digging the Gunns, it's been cool to see them come into their own over the last few months.

I love Willow Nightingale too!

And of course Kenny bi-god Omega

The Guns + BC gold is top shelf material.

They're such a good fit! One of those things that I never would have guessed but works pretty well

I used to loathe him pre-AEW, now he's a solid favorite. He was a great heel in Chikara.

He's my selection for the Road To the Elite in the AEW game.

MJF is on another level. The total package.

Chuck T and ryan nemeth win for funniest guys in all of wrestling.

Gotta include Kenny omega for best wrestler of the decade.

That Ryan Nemeth skit on BTE today was... Interesting 😆

  • As for me I'm really digging Takeshita, I'm enjoying watching him learn to be heel 🤣
  • Also I'm excited to see El Hijo del Vikingo in August as he's doing a Australian tour with GCW.
  • Lastly I'm keen to see some Stardom girls show up in US promotions. I'm hoping sometime soon we can see AZM, Natsupoi, Julia or Starlight Kid. One can dream.

Favourite is hard to say, but the ones I try to keep track of are:

  • Asuka - was blown away by her in NXT and she's just incredible
  • Io Shari - but it's a pity she's doing very little right now
  • Jay Lethal - loved him as Black Machismo and teaming with Creed back in TNA, really happy to see them both doing great
  • Orange Cassidy - I didn't see much Chikara, but The Colony was a bit of silly fun and tickled me, to see Fire Ant as a champ and putting on great matches is awesome to see
  • Will Ospreay - saw him live in WCPW back in maybe 2016 when he was in The Swords of Essex and wrestled a tag match on his own because his partner was legit ill, it's weird to say but I'm so proud of the dickhead and what he's achieved since
  • Mustache Mountain, Pete Dunne, Joe Hendry, Tegan Nox and Bea Priestley for the same reasons

OOohhh another Chikara fan! Boy do I miss Jervis Cottonbelly, Still Life, Ophidian, Hallowicked. Those were the days... silly Quakenbush.. ruined a good thing. I wonder if there will ever be a spiritual successor, it was just so wacky, I loved it.

1.) Psycho Clown ( AAA) 2.) Nino de Hamburgesa (AAA) 3.) Jordon Grace (Impact) 4.) Taya (seems like everywhere these days) 5.) Marty Scurll (AAA) 6.) PCO (Impact) 7.) Sami Zayne (WWE)

I'm looking forward to more of Nick Aldis in Impact. Also Rosemary/Courtney Rush is always cool.

How is Impact doing these days? I haven't watched in a year or so. I heard they were just down under?!

[–] Abrslam 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm only a few weeks in. I haven't watched wrestling really since Lucha Underground ended. I don't care much for WWE or AEW. I had hoped NWA was going to be fore me, but after Cornette left, then covid hit, it lost its pizazz. Impact feels like a good fit for me now. Solid matches, stories seem to make sense, and just a little bit off the wall in a way that reminds me a bit of Lucha. Also 90 minutes a week (plus ppvs) is about as much wrestling as I can handle right now.

Great explaination. Feel free to keep us abreast of impact news here. I am keen to hear. 🙂
