The list of Bender's claimed composition adds up to over 100%, so he can be a dubious source (episode codes in brackets):

40% Zinc (1ACV13).

40% Titanium (2ACV03).

30% Iron (3ACV22), presumably mixed with osmium, (3ACV17).

40% Dolomite (4ACV07).

40% Lead (video game).

40% empty (s07e09)

40% back (s7e21 Assie come back)

0.04% Nickel impurity - (3ACV17 - A Pharaoh to Remember)

There was also a claim that he was 40% chromium (not made by Bender but by someone else - 6ACV03). In addition to those, he's also claimed to be 40% horseshoes (ITWGY), 40% Wire (7ACV03) and 40% scrap metal (6ACV23), either of which could be any of the above metals or something else.

Bender? Unreliable? Shut your mouth!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That could still be true if he's made of an alloy

99.95% Benderium

0.04% Nickel Impurity

0.01% Dimondillium

Diamondillium? Diamondium is far better!

MomCorp is known to cut corners 😔

I'm perfectly satisfied with the theory that bender simply is 430.04% or more in total.

Yep, running into that 100% limit is why scientists increased the percentage limit. They did it right after they increased the speed of light.

And just some ordinary water.

"Yes, ordinary water, laced with nothing more than a few spoonfuls of LSD."

I like Enterprise. Just too bad they never got a finale...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Enterprise was highly underrated. Especially in the later seasons.

Believe it or not, the Nikelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show some fun Star Trek stuff in it. Leonardo's favorite show is called Space Heroes, which is a parody of Star Trek: The Animated Series.

Wow, really? Is this the new reboot?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

What he's saying is we have a new source for memes. Excellent.

I am disturbed by this gif

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

There's suggestive, and then there's... whatever this is.

Could someone please explain 3rd still?

Fry and Zoidberg wrestling.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

In Star Trek, Spock started acting weird around his species' mating cycle (every 7 years, I think?) and the Enterprise had to travel to his home planet to resolve it. While there, he entered this sort of ritual combat thing with Kirk.

In Futurama, they did a direct parody of this storyline, but with Zoidberg instead of Spock, and he fought Fry. During the fight, they even included an old lady up in the booth playing the generic "combat music" from Star Trek on the organ. It's pretty great.

It looks like they also made it look Roman as a reference to Bread and Circuses.
