What happened in '83?
Ah! I had this goosebumps book! The story was completely unrelated with the cover image
The cover is related to the story, but I believe this cover was also used for a three book anthology which included other stories in addition to "Say Cheese and Die". The main character acquires a camera that either predicts the future or causes bad things to happen... he takes this picture of his family at a BBQ and then die in a car accident or something.
I believe this is "Say Cheese and Die"
Next summer is going to be fun if El Nino pattern holds. It would mean that this year with heat domes, forest fires and floods was just the preview and next year is the main event.
Just wait until El Niño is no more, forever. Then all hell will break loose.
When every year is El Niño year, no year will be El Niño year.

Been in the 60s and 70s for the last two months here in Imperial Beach. If I were any further south, I'd be in Mexico.
