I’m so confused. So I booted my PC for a first time in a while and thought it was being very very slow. Just thought Windows being windows it needed to index and update some stuff then all of a sudden it just rebooted and went to my BIOS screen stating ‘CPU over temperature’.
I waited a while for it to cool down, then booted back into windows to find that yes, instantly the CPU is going straight to 100C basically instantly. HOW?
Task manager shows that nothing is being used and the PC is idle. The AIO CPU cooler I have is pumping out cool air if I put my hand behind it so I don’t think that’s not working unless water isn’t being pumped around somehow but how would you find that out?
Still does explain how the CPU is basically going straight to 100C upon startup. I did travel with but was packed well so it wouldn’t be bumped around however it seems coincidental that this is happening prior to moving it (I was moving house).
Any ideas?
