The app requires an existing login to use, right? I tried the app since the website's email/password registration screen just returns "An unexpected error occurred" every time I try it, but didn't see a new registration option for the app, just the login option.

Sorry about that, it sounds very frustrating.
I've found that a field used to store account timezones was too short for yours. I've increased the size now so your next registration attempt will succeed.
@[email protected] Yes, that is correct. There's no way to register for an account through the app ATM. You'll just have to do so through the website.
It's not working on my oneplus x. I tried to install the three apk. Only the armabi-v7a.apk can be installed but it crash immediately when I open Interstellar. I guess my 10yo phone might be too old.
Does it work ok in your phone web browser?
Yes, I can browse Piefed instances on my phone web browser and log without issues.
Yeah sorry, I'm guessing Flutter (Interstellar's UI framework) doesn't support devices that old.
I'm always soooo excited for native fediverse apps, because PWAs are annoying in a bunch of ways. But then it actually happens, and I remember that none of the cool themes will be in there 😅
This is still AWESOME though!! I think that's what was holding a lotttttt of people off, waiting for an app
Guess I just ask here.
On scaled sorting for my subscribed comms, it's different on the app vs in the web browser. Dunno if this is a bug or intended.
On the app it's showing 2 months old posts. Which I kind of understand from reading the scaled sorting.
Not a huge fan of interstellar. It's better than the web app by a little, and looks nice. But the layout of things without labels is a difficult first use barrier.
definitely glad it's available though! I'm not hating on the app, just saying that it isn't what I prefer. I probably should have led with that.
one thing I really like is that the comment box still allows you to see the post
anyway, ignore me test driving it, I'm just an old fart babbling in the wind

More apps will follow, I expect.
