"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.

micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

There’s even a 30 second documentary showing them using toilet paper

Businesses complain that the construction interupts them and reduces parking. Seeing this play out in pittsburgh, pa

Yeah. But afterwards they do better than before the bike lane.

Well, nothing causes more construction and interruption than fucking car infrastructure!

Bikes = foot traffic. Foot traffic = more people spending money in local businesses.

Most businesses who complain before bike lanes are built end up fighting to keep bike lanes when the threat of removing them comes up.

Businesses should understand that the infrastructure will bring them a considerable bump in customers. Businesses that are around good bike infrastructure tend to do well.

Once it's done though, bike lanes essentially never need to be repaved because the wear and tear is so low.

I prefer the magic bike lanes where they protect you from massive vehicles with a formiddable painted line.
