Bought and played helldivers 2 for the first time. Would've originally bought it on release but I was sused out by the game protect program. Seems like it's been fine for most people up to now so I went with getting it finally.
Monster Train 2. The first scratched the itch I had when I had run out of steam with Slay the Spire, and the second has built on top of the first with some new card classes, giving you different abilities for your engine, and five new races with new mechanics for each. It's fantastic, and really feels like everything you'd want out of a sequel. And as a nice bonus, it's not too hard on the Deck's battery.
Still making my way through Clair Obscura Expedition 33. Really good game.
I installed some optimization mods, and raised the in game settings some, and got it where it's looking really good and basically always sticks at 30 fps. There are occasional dips, but I find it a pretty worthwhile tradeoff for how much better the game looks this way.
Put some Nintendo ROMs on my deck! I also put the animal crossing save from my switch on my deck as well, returning to the island I haven't played on since covid is really cool.
I've been playing Minecraft again. I haven't played since... Fuck I don't even remember. But long enough that barely anything is familiar to me anymore. It's like playing for the first time all over again! 😃
9 Kings is amazing on the Deck.
Looks interesting - how is the game loop since it's a rogue-like? Tedious, or does it feel pretty rewarding?
Not US here, but I snagged the only Kingdoms entry I was missing: Kingdom Eighties.
I've been hearing about them lately and it has been peaking my curiosity.
If you want a simpler game play, 80s is a great one to start. Otherwise Two Crowns is still the best in the series.
I played Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine for the first time in over 20 years. I never managed to beat it when I was younger but I blew right through it in an hour this time around, even with arthritic hands. Feels good.
I got to start a furry visual novel I found on itch(dot)io called Promises to Keep. It's not complete yet, but so far I'm loving it. The character art is nice and the backgrounds are pretty good and I'm really liking the music.
I am absolutely glad I randomly found it on itch.
Thank you for furry VN recco! I can never have too annoy good fluff games :3
