... and Linux โ€“ all you need is a Chromium-based browser.

That's already alot better then most manufacturers can say.

[โ€“] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago

Unfortunately it looks like the web version is lacking features that the windows-only app has, which is a disappointment.

[โ€“] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Webapps are quite common now

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Yeah any QMK based keyboard can be fully configured with web/electron apps like VIA.

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Where does it say that and in what context? I can't seem to find it.

Uhhh niiiceee

Been a loyal bequiet customer before. Veeery interested how good those will come out to be

Edit: Looks nice but why in the hell is this thing not wireless? Or at least an option for a wireless variant?

Fully equipped variant costs 250 euros but is only USB pluggable. In what century are we living in?

Hasn't been an issue in years thanks to 2.4GHz dongles.

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Next issue is charging. Why complicate things for a stationary keyboard?

[โ€“] gravitas_deficiency 2 points 1 week ago

Heh. Dongles.

Germany is one of the few European regions to have a decent presence in the mechanical keyboard market

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

It makes since as that is where Cherry is from.

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Wooting (Dutch) ist overlooked?

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

What do you mean deutch is overlooked? He said german. (/j)

[โ€“] [email protected] 11 points 1 week ago

Linux support?

[โ€“] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago

Just looked at the keyboards and now my brief enthusiasm is gone. Basically everything I look to avoid in most mechanical keyboards is on full display here. Floating keys, prominent glowing logos, extraneous controller devices for macros, etc.

[โ€“] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Looks good spec wise

Only nitpicks I can see is the logo on top and the missing leds under the spacebar

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

I like the fact you can move the number pad to the left hand side (left-pad lol).

I've always fancied a left hand numpad, but never quite enough to buy a separate one for a TKL, or a special board.

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

A very appropriate name for a German product, lol.

[โ€“] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (3 children)

I'd unironically buy something branded "sei still!" over "be quiet!".

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

"bitte ruhe!"

[โ€“] [email protected] -3 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Keyboard looks cool would buy it if it wasnโ€™t mechanical

[โ€“] [email protected] 21 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Ever tried a mechanical one? I would never go back.

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I did and I switched back to the mx keys. The advntages doesn't justify the price increase for me and I prefer the aestethics of a smaller, sleeker keyboard on my desk.

But that's the beauty of a free market. We don't need "one size fits all" products, we all can have our preferred keyboards, whether that be a top-end mechanical keyboard or a low-profile traditional one :))

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sure, I'm not judging, you know what's best for you. Just a bit surprised, that's all.

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Idk, I guess I'm just not as sensitive as you guys _/(0.0)\_

But I do need my vertical mouse. That is where I feel a massive difference.

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What is a vertical mouse? Classic one?

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

this is mine:

(I don't want to upload a Picture because I don't want to burden @[email protected] with more storage cost for the server, so I hope this link works for you lol)

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Nice, thanks.

[โ€“] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How... Wait.... You like rubber domes more? Why?

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago (4 children)

Because they are silent and don't annoy me with clicking sound

[โ€“] [email protected] 15 points 1 week ago

There are mech kbs that are silent and not clicky, btw

[โ€“] [email protected] 11 points 1 week ago

The whole point of the bequiet keyboards and mice is to be quiet. You should try them!

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

I've watched a review on these and frankly speaking, these are as silent as non-mechanical ones

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Then pick non-clicky switches, like cherry reds or browns.

[โ€“] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Huh? If you don't like how clicky it is, you can find other switches there are hundreds of them all with different feels some of them silent....

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

While what you said is true we need to understand tht paying more money for a mechanical keyboard to then have to modify it is very unattractive to the vast majority of customers (including me, and I use Linux).

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

What are you talking about? You can get one with your preferred switches ootb.
