Some classics you guys recommend getting?

Jade Empire is probably the most underrated classic Bioware game so I'd definitely recommend that one if you're looking for games you've probably never heard of.

It is a real dog to control on PC unfortunately. Tried with wired and wireless controllers, Steam and GOG. It was made in that era where there was no common PC controller drivers. Mouse control is pretty jumpy as well.

That said, fantastic game if you can get over the humps. There's a few good mods as well to update some of the jank.

Is it really that bad? I remember playing it with an Xbox controller and it being completely fine. It was made for the Xbox after all. I can imagine it isn't great on mouse and keyboard though.

There's a few good mods as well to update some of the jank.

Is there something like an unofficial patch now? I remember playing with the Jade Empire In Style mod and thought it was great.

Anyway yeah, the game is fantastic if you can look past the clunk and it's such a shame it doesn't get more attention.

The list of discounts is pretty long, just search by rating and click on what's interesting. It's really a wide range of genres and depends on your taste.

There is just one exception, they're selling revolt for 5$/€ but that's abandon ware you can just download.

Deus Ex, x com, stronghold crusader, fallout new vegas, skyrim, gothic, flatout, sim city...

If you are curious ish about older games, lots of familiar names will show up.

I was just looking and realized there were some old racing games I used to love, so I filtered to that category and found they have the Moto Racer Collection, including 1, 2, and 3 for $1.59. I think we had Moto Racer 2 and I remember playing that a lot, so I’ll be picking those up.

I’m going to need to look into finding the old Need For Speed, Midtown Madness, and Motocross Madness games from, like, 25 years ago. I might still have some of those discs somewhere, actually.

Some of the old games are… not designed to run on modern hardware. Call of Juarez, for example, runs very poorly (frame drops and crashes)

I think it works just fine on Linux.

I checked now, "Even if the game is older than you are, we test it thoroughly, fix all the bugs, and apply patches so it runs flawlessly on your next-gen PC and on modern OSs." they say. So maybe they fixed that too?
