I've been using Jerboa without any issue.
You've been? How?? for me it always says that this instance version it too low...
Wait, maybe it's something with the F-droid version? Let me test the google play one, had forgotten to test that
Oh, just noticed the name is Jerboa not "Jeroba" sorry there haha
Eh nevermind, playstore version doesn't even launch, it crashes the moment it tries to load the feed so i can't even try to login
Download 0.35 from the GitHub.
This one worked, but it's no different from the one i downloaded via F-droid, same error when logging in
That error pops up for me but after I dismiss it everything works fine
Now i noticed that here dismissing this makes it looks like it's logged in, but when i try to do basically anything that would require login it fails, in the case of interacting with posts it just reacts as if i was not logged, and when i restart the app the apparent "login" just disappears
No use 0.34 because 0.35 only works with Lemmy v0.18 which isn't even officially out yet.
ok, will take a look, thank you!
Oh, but 0.34 has the crash problem... Should i use 0.33 then
Ah nevermind, found how to work around it! Thank you a looot!!
Idk but I logged in on an older version and it didn't log me out so maybe downgrade it then upgrade it? (Edit: seems like I'm still on 0.33)
Ooh, must be the version you're on then
Ya, I forgot I turned off automatic app updates after something similar with another app
Hmm, yeah F-droid (Neo store actually but anyway) had auto updated mine here and it stopped working, reinstalled and disabled auto updating for Jerboa now so it probably won't happen again
I never realized how many people use mobile apps. I always assumed everyone was using desktop browsers
I used to use reddit almost exclusively on mobile. So far I use lemmy exclusively on my browser and I'm going to try to avoid installing a mobile app entirely, for personal productivity reasons.
Do you notice that your title and the first quarter of your post are rambling about posting, instead of focusing on the content of your post? There was little idea what the post was about until halfway through the main body. Consider the following alterations, naming the post more like "login issues" or " unable to log in", and deleting everything in the body before "I was going to log in". Put a little context in the middle of the post, if necessary; we don't need a prequel to your choice to post as an introduction.
O-oh, so there's a right format to make posts That makes sense, i guess it gets annoying, sorry... I have this habit of rambling a lot when going to ask something and things like that but now I'll do my best in being more direct and use more objective titles (that's what it needs to be right?) Posting was something that i used to almost never do in reddit too so I'm not used to making proper posts, thanks a lot for the instructions!
You don't have to feel bad, but if you make some adjustments, it becomes easier for people to read and understand your point. As it was, scrolling past your post would be easy for those interested in your topic, simply because the first bit had nothing to do with the actual content.
Hmm, yeah i can see that, thank you
Rambly posts aren't the end of the world, but titles that don't clearly explain what you're asking about will tend to be overlooked or outright scorned. As someone with a bad habit of structuring sentences in reverse order, I understand your desire to communicate in a way that feels natural.
Glad to have you in the community.
Yeaah, true
Thanks a lot!
Why tf do you stutter in text
You mean the "O-oh"? Idk, i just, feel like if i don't put it there i won't be expressing myself properly. I've been occasionally doing this kind of thing on my more casual messages as far i can remember
Check out https://wefwef.app. It's a web app that runs really smoothly and is very pretty.
Oh this one! I tried it some time ago, it is pretty cool, but it doesn't have some features from the default I'd miss so i just saved it here and will wait till when it gets more mature, thanks for the suggestion!
