I love these people who think Musk is Trump's puppet when it's so clearly the other way around. Trump only cares about one thing: himself, especially his net worth, and he was riding real low on that account before so he sold his office to Musk, and if you think Musk isn't getting his money's worth you haven't been paying attention. 95% of what they're doing is just to flood the zone so you don't notice that the oligarchs are dismantling the parts of government to render it unable to tax or regulate them. That's what Musk is there for, and even if he's on the outs publicly, never doubt that he will continue to get what he paid for.

It would be funny if Trump threw him under the bus. It's not like he's not done that numerous times, sometimes multiple times to the same people.
I think the biggest difference is that Elon has money. Most of the people Trump throws under the bus are people that served a useful function but then stopped fulfilling that function.
Elon's function is to have money. He bought Twitter and spent hundreds of millions of dollars to elect Trump and Republicans. He threatens to fund primary challengers for any Republican that doesn't fall in line.
I don't see that usefulness disappearing anytime soon, no matter how unpopular he is.
It's practically a sport for him.
It would be funny if websites started using Elon's fat or bald pictures for articles
Here's the bigger question.
How much does Musk have on Trump? How much does Musk have that can be sold to the highest bidder? Because whether it's state secrets, personal info on US citizens, or dirt on Trump, somebody is going to be very, very interested in that information. Like "Live here tax free for the rest of your life, and here's another 12 figures on top of that" kind of interested.
Trump could very well end up in a position where even he realizes he can't get rid of Musk without making things exponentially worse, not just for the country, but (more importantly, to him) himself personally.
What dirt could he possibly have on Trump that could matter at this point? Trump has virtually unlimited power. With all the crap he's done and is still allowed to be president. It could come out that he was the zodiac killer and he wouldn't face any consequences
In terms of legal issues? Yeah, that's kinda limited.
But in terms of personal issues? Trump doesn't like to be personally embarrassed. Like really doesn't like to be personally embarrassed. It's been said that his entire presidential run is because he was offended by an Obama joke. He is deathly afraid of being personally embarrassed as he believes others will perceive it as weakness and he'll lose the admiration he so desperately seeks. I swear you could burn $10 billion of his own personal money (or whatever he's worth) directly in front of him and show everybody a picture of how small his dick is and he'd be infinitely more pissed over the dick pic. That's his weakness. Deathly fear of personal embarrassment on the world stage, and Trump has proven time and time again he will give you whatever you want if it means he isn't personally embarrassed.
Maybe it's the "pee pee tapes". Maybe he got actual pictures from Stormy Daniels proving Trump really does have a small dick. There could be all sorts of skeletons in Trump's closet that he doesn't want coming out. It's been obvious for years that he has something to hide, will go to extraordinary lengths to cover it up, and doesn't want it ever coming out in the open. It could be something that is completely innocuous and pointless that Trump just has an exaggerated, irrational fear of. Could be anything, really. It doesn't have to be something that is world-breaking. It just has to be something that's world-breaking to Trump.

This will be dismissed as AI. Even if everyone knows it happened , after a day of shock the right will get their approved talking points and uncritically adopt them like always do. They're well trained.
The angle of Trump being personally compromised made sense at some point in time but I have no idea why we still talk about it. At this point it's nonsense. You can't comprise someone who can do literally anything with impunity.

You're talking about being compromised as in blackmaled with legal repercussions. That's not the case. Admittedly, I agree that that time has probably passed. I'm talking about being personally embarrassed. Fear that he'll be shown as "weak". Or a "lesser man". And yes, as silly as it sounds, fear that people will find out he's got a small dick. That kind of fear doesn't go away regardless of the amount of money or power you have. And yes, people take those fears to absurd and irrational extremes. To him, someone releasing pictures that he has a small dick would be like someone murdering your wife and children in front of you for funzies and putting it on Youtube, and he's willing to do anything to prevent it.
The other big question that starts to be considered in these situations is ..... it's cheaper and more economical if certain people cease to exist. The worse this situation becomes, the more prohibitively expensive it gets and the higher the risks go ... the more likely that people will suddenly and conveniently drop off.
There is a lot of money and control in blackmailing people, but at a certain point those being blackmailed will start to use their money and power in other methods to remove risks.
What difference does itake how much dirt he has on him at this point?
That might explain why Trump hasn't returned to Twitter.
Trump has the opportunity to do the funniest thing and have Musk epstein'd. I'd almost consider voting for his third term if he did that
I figured that when the DOGE fiasco imploded, he would scream "treason' and make Musk the fall guy to placate people. Wouldn't roll back anything but a few symbolic changes, but it would let him look the hero.
It could even be done as an official act!
musk has the peepee tapes
Scarborough has terrible takes. He bloviates with the best of them and this seems like another off-the-cuff rambling in hopes of something he wishes were true based on the thinnest pretext.
Him and his wife kissed the ring after the election. Networks at work, keeping people calm. They want you to think this will blow over, don’t go protest, Trump will stop with all this Elon shit any minute now… just let the snowball grow and keep thinking it’ll get smaller as it rolls.
I’m kind of shocked that relationship hasn’t already imploded
Waiting for Congress. Either republicans sycophants will ratify everything Trump has done, or it’s all elons fault
Straight out of the Prince by Machiavelli.
odds on muskrat taking the government down with him?
imagine the backdoors and other goodies planted by the interns during the blitzkrieg through government systems, and all the data that's been uploaded to xitter-controlled servers.
Mutually assured destruction.
Harry Enten boiled down Donald Trump’s current favor with the American people to one word: “awful,” saying the only president he’s beating at this point in his presidency when it comes to approval ratings is himself during his first term.
LOL fucking savage!
This is just not going to happen, it’s all speculation and if trump can put up with elons kid literally telling him to shut his mouth then Elon is here to stay
It's really a 4D chess period.
It takes someone who can see a flat earth to follow along.
