I love how he looks like a cult leader in almost every picture.

Thought he looks like santa.

Exactly. That jolly red egomaniac running a labor cult in the remote mountains where he recruits and trains underprivileged outcasts, denies them medical training opportunities and forbids any form of labor outside of the private sector he oversees. A cult leader.

He is! It's just benign, voluntary, and he's benevolent...

[–] Kecessa 4 points 1 week ago

And a billionaire... So we can forget the benevolent part...

>4chan dweeb (who's super cool)
>round dude (who's super cool)

>GREEK GOD

...(who's super cool)

Like how did he do it? I swear I haven't seen a single photo of the in-betweens, just the 3 stages

Dude’s a billionaire, he very likely has a team of people whose sole responsibility is to keep him out of the news and/or media, unless explicitly allowed.

Only Elon Schmuck (and maybe Kanye West) are deranged enough to think they can manage their public presence positively.

Well, when he's not fighting off sharks in South Africa, or tootling around on one of his mega superyachts, Gabe remains just one of us.

He's just a normal guy at heart.

KCD:2 I bet. It and stalker 2 take the little time I have to game. They're both GOTY for me.

I plowed a solid month into Stalker 2 when it came out and loved my time with it, but it has it's fair share of problems. Not having proper A-life alone makes me very reluctant to nominate it for GOTY.

Eurojank lol yea I do agree the broken a-life sucks a bit.

It's the stalker "ai" that made the originals more alive. Basically factions would have wars, and wandering stalkers you would run into.

They did fix a lot of the issues with the patches so a-life works pretty much like the originals.

Eurojank is one of my favorite features in a game. If anything Stalker 2 dumbed it down.

I started KCD2 recently and at first I was like "So it's Elder Scrolls but no fantasy stuff so... Will it be boring?" But then I started to see how it's not like modern Elder Scrolls, but specifically Morrowind with how deep it is despite not having magic and shit, and I'm loving it.

Though I honestly wish I could just quicksave and not need an item to save anywhere without a bed. Being able to go "what happens if I..." Then saving the game so you can fuck around and find out is like the best part of a game, IMO.

[–] SupraMario@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Get the quick save mod from nexus. The whole idea is so you can't play around with your choices but the mod gives you that ability.

Can't disagree with anything here.

I got as far as the turning point in the story and the game just started shitting itself, with every quest script breaking in every possible way it could. So I haven't even seen one ending :/
