It doesn't need one though and the benefits of having one are massively outweighed by the security vulnerabilities to US operators themselves. Super high tech airplanes like these need constant maintenance and a steady stream of parts. That's where the real "kill switch" is. If the US wants to use them as leverage, they can turn off the tap for those and the Canadian owned hardware will be inoperable in a few weeks.
