That's a healthy looking yolk, don't usually see them like that in the states

I'm all for fucking over US businesses, but this sub is becoming a bit mastabatory.
That's a weird looking Spanish omelette, made in the tiniest train kitchen by a chef who usually checks your tickets.
Let's not pat ourselves too hard on the back here.
Ah, thatβs why the social cohesion is broken in the US!
Lookin' good
The American mind cannot comprehend this
Eggs that look like they've been sitting out a while? Everything else looks very good though.
It looks good though.
Literally. I'm just sitting here wondering if European trains have a first class section or something.
The only eggs you'll find on an American train come in the form of a used tampon left on the floor...
Omg thanks for the visual!
You can use that as a teabag!
They do have first class. But the on board restaurant (if there is one) is accessable for all, not only 1st class travelers.
But in some trains, 1st class also includes service to your seat, while peasants need to walk to the restaurant car.
Which means only that lazy rich passengers miss an opportunity to start conversation and score in the restaurant car.
Who would want to talk to peasants? Hon hon hon
Uhhh Amtrak has both First Class as well as Diner Cars with eggs lol. Itβs just so slow and shitty that youβve never bothered to be on it.
We paid a tiny bit more on a german train for dinner, fresh fish iirc and it was delicious, served by a waiter, god the railways in the uk are shit.
Do English trains have actual food anymore, even in first class? It's been years since I travelled first class.
The American mind wonders why the yolks are a deep orange instead of neon yellow.
It's just a matter of what you feed the chickens dude
Yes, but there's no amount of cheap or low quality food pellets that would make them this dark. That's the whole point.
I'm a convert, personally. I used to buy cheap eggs in America and I'd always drown them in hot sauce and salt to give them a flavour. Now in England I don't buy eggs unless I'm in the mood for eggs, and it's always really good ones, sometimes duck. There's just no comparison, and I feel a bit better about how the animals are treated of course.
Other chickens.
You're not kidding. I lived on land with ducks and chickens. Not only are the yolks a deep and rich color, they're thicker and more sticky. I miss having fresh duck eggs daily.
The European mind has never learned of carotenoids, I guess.
Y'all are never getting rid of me je voudrais manger all this merde up in here
this is the future they took from us
that looks amazing for a train bistro plate
Obligatory how much did it cost, for the English getting reamed.
Based on the brochure on the table, this looks like a MΓV train, so probably 3,50β¬ for the food and 1,70β¬ for the coffee (source PDF). YMMV depending on which route you take.
Good work detective. What a bargain! How about the train fares?
Budapest to Vienna starts at 13β¬. Budapest to Hamburg is around 88β¬. Discounts may apply to students and seniors.
This is some gourmet shit
Damn that looks tasty.
I've had it with these European eggs in this European train!
Yeah, they make me want public transport and affordable eggsβ¦ π
We almost had a train here in Alberta but it got cancelled until further notice because our provincial government is a dumpster fire of stupidity.
Omg this looks so good, sadly the food in German ICEs is not this colourful :(
