Isn't the majority left but don't vote in force? In Canada we have have a 60-70% left population but the votes split and we don't turn out.

Maybe he's making a perfectly reasonable decision and the image merely represents the ratio of people going left vs right. There might be thousands going left, but a proportionally greater number of people go right. Some people will just be or act differently and that's ok.
