This note's harder to decipher than a nazi salute!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Isnt this against the mod rules here? I mean, fuck, I am getting banned all iver here for advocating defense of freedom

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Nope, not on this instance. No rules against advocating for violence. One of the great things about anarchy. I can say the following:

Kill Nazis, put a bullet through their head and spit on their corpses. It's everyone's duty to kill their local Nazi, and in particular I think it would be great if somebody killed Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and any other fascist in government today.

Social media has trained us to self-censor to maintain a platform of speech online. Fuck the rules made by Capitalists.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 hours ago

It's so nice to find a place online where I can comfortably say that my wish before bed each night is that somebody braver than me, or with fewer responsibilities to other people than I have, steps the fuck up and puts a bullet through Elons skull. I will be sad if the child with the stupid name dies as a result, but I hope that doesn't deter someone. It amazes me that nobody has tried yet.

Lol your message was in my inbox followed by two others that flagged me for advocating violence

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

Kill nazis. Based.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

As long as the people working there were not harmed I don't really see an issue.

[–] RowRowRowYourBot 4 points 1 day ago

I would prefer them to not be there when someone is shooting to begin with.

There’s only one way that permanently and effectively removes fascists from control.

"Liquidated with bullets"?

Do they mean sprayed with? Is this an AI fuck up or just an expression I've never heard?

[–] [email protected] 62 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Xitter blue check with an emphasis on being anonymous. All signs point to AI bot slop.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

It’s a pretty popular page. Think they run the one on bsky too.

I get the impression they aren’t native English speakers though.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I couldn’t find them on Bluesky, but I’m not sure what their @ is there. If you know it please let me know, I’m curious to see if they’re on any of the inauthentic user block lists I use.

And to be honest the use of ‘liquidated’ was like, third on the list for me for why they struck me as likely a bot (Xitter blue check user and the anonymous thing being the first two).

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Thanks! They’re not on any of the inauthentic user block lists I subscribe to. So based on that I’d revise my guess to not AI slop, just strange phrasing.

Merriam Webster has this definition for liquidate: To do away with especially by killing.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/liquidate

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Huh, it was a euphemism for so long its actually part of the definition now.

I'm fairly sure it comes from basically financial liquidation / liquid assets.

In the latter stages of a bankruptcy, you often sell off a bunch of assets to get as much liquid cash as possible to pay out as much as you can.

So, if you torture that meaning a bit... you liquidate a person who hasn't paid their debts to the mob or w/e, as a way of permanently settling their accounts.

This guy is arguably stretching the definition / euphemism a bit further... but hey, maybe if that dealership's financials actually can't handle that level of property damage, they may actually go bankrupt and financially liquidate.

Seems like a pretty great way to protest to me.

[–] vale 50 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The note was on a dealership/showroom in New York, not at the one in Oregon btw, a lot of people are claiming they were at the same place

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 days ago

Thank you. This is why social media is not journalism, even (especially?) when it’s saying what you already want to hear.

[–] [email protected] 52 points 2 days ago (1 children)

they were just saying their heart goes out to musk

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 days ago

I believe that is the traditional Roman salute.

[–] [email protected] 39 points 2 days ago

Well, the "free speech absolutist" should be fine with this right? It's definitely an expressive act.

Attacks like this only let him know you're coming.

No, what you want to do is air tag vehicles you suspect he travels in, then correlate the data from those with the info provided by the accounts that track his flights. Confirm this with general news stories that include the cities he's visiting, then plant a bomb on the most likely vehicles options once you understand his patterns... Or if the security is lacks enough, directly on one of his planes.

The problem is this takes dedication, surveillance, stealth, and luck... But mostly, dedicated surveillance. The people he pays for protection are no doubt very good, and on top of that he now has the government protecting him too.

The only other way I can think to do it would shooting his plane out of the sky... And I have no idea how to make that happen, and it wouldn't be a certain kill (plane might just glide to safety).

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

A couple of notes:

  • AirTags would be a terrible method of tracking a vehicle given that they warn any phone in the vicinity they are nearby when it looks like they are tracking.
  • There are products specifically designed for vehicle tracking however and that would be far more fit for purpose
  • Any security worth their salt would be conducting regular bug sweeps of vehicles and modifying regular routes to avoid routines where possible even if you got close enough to the vehicle to install the tracker the likely hood it would be in situ long enough to understand a regular routine is minimal. Then you’ve tipped off security that someone is tracking him so now they are on high alert.
  • Elon is likely travelling in an explosive resistant vehicle. Protection against under vehicle explosives is relatively common.
  • How would you detonate an explosive? Depending on the threat model the vehicle/nearby vehicles can be equipped with signal jammers meaning you need a hard wired detonator.
  • Shooting a plane out of the sky? No thanks. The Russians just gave you a very real and practical alternative recently. Just install a small explosive on the plane.

worked in gta, should be easy

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Okay, I agree, not the most likely plan.

However, it occurs to me planes are probably prepped for take-off whilst VIPs are still on the way to the airport. Perhaps the signs of this happening are visible with the planes he uses, and if he happens to use roads to the airport... And VIP entrances can be mapped... That might give some opportunity to intercept him on public roads.

Ergo a series of IEDs might be the best option. If he takes helicopters to the airport than I'm going back to taking potshots as the best option.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

Once the jet is in it's main ascent to cruising altitude getting to it from the ground isn't something easy for anything in the civilian world.

But like you said - dedicated surveillance.

Birds can cause a lot of damage to a jet engine. Incredible amounts actually. Thankfully birds are very lightweight and not made out of materials that can usually make a jet engine blade deform. Usually.

A bird with the right amount of oomph could accidentally deliver much stronger materials into a turbofan during takeoff. If a blade deforms inward, it will cause a cascading failure of the engine.

But that's just the engine, which is always highly vulnerable. It sure would suck if a flock of birds made out of the right materials flew in the path of a jet on takeoff. Currently planes are built to withstand a single 4lb bird strike and make a safe landing.

musk probably paid some 19 yo to do this so he can claim his life is in danger and avoid a paternity test.
