Shut up Donny! You’re out of your element!

Me and my buddies spoke about "Oregano" in High School often, but I don't think we were having the same sort of conversation

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 hours ago

I was too much of a nerd that I joined a informal high school circle where they hike and talked about "plants and trees" and all they did was smoke pot where I wanted to discuss invasive species to the forest population.

Just young spice enthusiasts.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 12 hours ago

The spice must flow

[–] [email protected] 15 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Back then, the only spice we had was old.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Best kind. I put it on my balls when they gave it out in sex ed class.

I had fresh balls with a rash.

I overheard some of my students (16-18 years old) during lunchtime today. They were all standing over a phone, looking at a photo.

"Is that a dead deer?!". "It looks like a dead deer" said another. "Oh I thought it was a dead deer too".

Then they all agreed it was a french bulldog. WTF?!

They were speaking about this meme:

It has a backstory related to recent events: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/elon-musk-laughing-at-dead-deer

Elon Musk and Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland hosted an episode of PewDiePie's YouTube series Meme Review titled "Will Smith hosts Meme Review"

Holy fucknuggets, how can there be that much cringe in one location

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 hours ago

Man, my view of them in 2019 is sooo much different than my view of them today.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 13 hours ago

Was the bulldog ok though?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 13 hours ago

Close enough

It's the fault of those woke leftist school lunch policies that kids these days eat well enough to know what fresh basil is.

(Or "kids those days ate," at least, because that policy is long gone due to Trump.)

PizzaKeeping?

[–] Plebcouncilman 36 points 14 hours ago (3 children)

At 14 I was talking about Gianna Michaels tits. Looks like we are progressing.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 12 hours ago (2 children)
[–] Plebcouncilman 5 points 9 hours ago

She certainly took care of a lot of cocks.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 hours ago

Both boobies and tits

[–] [email protected] 18 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Gianna Michaels

I hope in retirement she has peace. She was the top star for such a long time. Or if she's not retired and just doing customs, I hope she's getting to pick stuff she wants to do. But really I hope she's just retired somewhere sipping a fruity drink and getting the therapy it takes to navigate a society that hates you for doing the thing it paid you to do

[–] [email protected] 13 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

She's leveraging her porn career into high price escorting and looks dead inside.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 13 hours ago

Welp. I wish we didn't live in a world that both drives people to sex work for survival AND demeans them for doing it

[–] [email protected] 3 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

That'd be true if this post wasn't entirely made up.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

Is there a /c/nothingeverhappens over here?

Sometimes 14-year-olds have in-jokes, too.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 12 hours ago (3 children)

I went ahead and did a search. Apparently there is a community for it, but it has zero posts.

https://lemmy.world/c/nothingeverhappens

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 hours ago

Then it's an appropriately named community.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 11 hours ago

Therefore something IS happening!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 hours ago

Nothing ever doesn't happen

[–] [email protected] -3 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

In-jokes, sure, but they don't talk like that.

[–] Nythos 12 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Are you the expert in 14 year old speech patterns globally?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 12 hours ago

Not to mention that this could be OOPs translation

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

My friends and I talked exactly like that, maybe you were just a weenie. You're pretty much there now so you were probably even worse as a kid.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

The way you "speak" now proves that is a lie.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 hours ago

Yeah, okay weenie.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I don't think I knew what fresh basil was till I was 30.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Sorry bud, you have no credibility in this post

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I don't even know what basil is because I could not care less about learning English spice names nor do I care enough to look it up. I'm guessing it's those eatable leaves though because those are called Basilikum in German. The name also allows English basil "enjoyers" to make a pun and we all know this is a sign of a correct translation.
