Sometimes I wonder if Bloodborne is more valuable to Sony as a legend than a game.

Why are japanese companies assholes???
Japanese law both enables and encourages this kind of behavior. Unfortunately, Japanese companies have been increasingly strongarming people to follow Japanese law even when it does not apply to them.
I assure you, it's not just Japan.

Imagine expending your resources in this crap instead of... you know... developing games.
