I have another product in this category, but frankly they're fantastic! All my hard floors clean in 20 minutes or less!

They're pretty good, but they struggle with pet hair. I have to clean mine out all the time.

I have a Tineco S1 (iirc), it's been fantastic with a shorthair chocolate lab, a short hair black void and a medium haired Siamese cat. The self-clean function takes care of 99% of the hair that does get caught up in it

It's also fantastic for keeping the litter area clean imo

I used to have a combi-vacuum, but it just... kinda does both thing moderately well for a very high price.

Now i've got a steam-cleaner with a mop-unit and a regular vacuum, and they're cheaper and MUCH better.

"I still have yet to find a model that would make me want to ditch my mop and bucket."

I would rather wait until the junk on the floor is large enough I can kick it out of the way than go through the trouble and mess of a mop and bucket.

That was before I tried the Shark HydroVac MessMaster corded hard floor cleaner.

Was the next sentence, but I've honestly gotten rid of the ol mop and bucket and just have a plain Swiffer for the spot cleaning of edges that my Tineco wet/dry misses, only needed about every other month or so

I also just pick up the junk that's too big to be sucked up as I go lol

I doubt the person who wrote this also ever used a mop and bucket in this day and age.

I just might have to buy this. Sent the link to my better half asking whether we should get it. With two cats, one of which has a sensitive tummy and barfs a lot, I think this would be great.

This one is a decent one for a budget, but if you can spend a few hundred I'd recommend a Tineco with an edge-to-edge head, much nicer for getting right against the baseboards.

Though most of the Tinecos are cordless, so when it comes time to replace the battery you'll have to be reasonably handy

Fantastic, thank you for the recommendation! I'd rather spend extra and get a better brand, I just don't know anything about this market.
