Few days ago I found odysee. I saw it on grayjay.
I'm trying to use YouTube as less as possible. I found some of creators I follow from yt here. How do you rate it for privacy.

Slightly moreso than YouTube, but you should really use Librarian or the LBRY app.

Also, be warned that Odysee is alt-tech.

Platforms that pretend to champion free speech but in reality are nazi bars. (think Xitter, truthsocial, rumble, kick, stuff like that)

There's a lot of right wing content

I consider odysee to be a longer term pump'n'dump scam for the reasons outlined here:

Personally I wouldn't place much trust in them.

Yes, Odysee is much better than YT, they will not block you for using a VPN and you can use burner a email to sign up. They also do not have annoying ads every 3 minutes, they have zero ads. Sad that so many creators refuse to post their content on other platforms and continue to support YT's tyrannical monopoly. Still there is a pretty good selection on there.

It's not that great privacy wise. Probably not as bad as YouTube but unfortunately it doesn't seems to be their priority.

IIRC it uses BitTorrent (like Peertube), so your IP address will be shared

Do they have apps for consoles yet?
