I recently upgraded from a GTX 1060 to a GTX 4070 Super. With my GTX 1060, I played most of my games on medium settings, which came with the usual downsides of an old graphics cards, such as rough edges and such. After I installed the new GPU and subsequently trying out a few games, every one of them looked, as expected, amazing. However, when I started my PC the next morning, the graphics seemed to have gone back to the old look and my screen had constant brightness flickering. I now upgradet to a new monitor, and at least the flickering is gone.

But the problem with the pixelated and blurry graphics, such as they were with my old GPU, remains. I have tried the following things:

  • clean install of the NVIDIA driver using DDU
  • going through every option in the NVIDIA control panel and the NVIDIA app
  • installing my old GPU and switching back to the new one
  • getting a new PSU
  • switching to my old monitor and back to the new one

All of my games are effected by this, so I can exclude it being the settings of the game.

I'm running out of ideas. Any ideas, possible solutions and causes are welcome.

Cheers
