Lol 4080 needed to get 60fps 4k... the ps5 has like a 1/4 of that power. Whats going on here guys?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

It says it needs 16GB of vram

Minimum 1080p / 30fps

Okay, so not minimum. 30fps is unacceptable with the power of hardware these days. Spec your minimum reqs for 60, always.

This is exactly what I wanted to say. And if a 4080 only guarantees 60fps on 2160p there is probably something wrong with the game...

Maybe for you but some people don't have the means to afford better hardware.

Noob question: is win 11 really necessary to squeeze out more performance and quality? I'd really like to avoid "upgrading" as long as possible

Probably just means they didn't test it on anything else.

Also seems inconsistent with Microsoft's trend of increasing bloat with every release.

I'm on Windows 10 indefinitely and I'm not "upgrading" either for FFVII.

I wonder if my old GTX970 could even run this game in the first place.

Needs to support Shader Model 6.6. Maxwell supports 6.7. However it only supports DirectX 12 feature level 12_1 and the game requires 12_2, which NVidia introduced with the RTX 2000 series.

This is where I'm at. Looks like no. :(

The original (lol) Final Fantasy 7 was the beginning of the end. The games leading up to it were perfect.

Yeah, Final Fantasy IX was horrible, and so was X, and XI, and XII, all of them suck
