Just make that counter line up with the stove, no biggie
Terrible Estate Agent Photos
Terrible photos listed by estate agents/realtors that are so bad they’re funny.
Posting guidelines.
Posts in this community must be of property (inside or out) listed for sale which contains a terrible element. “Terrible” can refer to:
-
the photo itself (finger over the lens, too far away, people in the shot, bad Photoshop, etc.)
-
the property (weird layout, questionable plumbing, unsound structure, etc.)
-
the interior (carpeted bathrooms, awful taste interiors, weird mannequins/taxidermies/art, inflatable pools indoors, etc.)
-
the actual listing itself including unusual descriptions and unrealistic pricing. However, this isn’t a community to discuss the housing market in general. This is a comedic community - let’s keep it light.
-
Photos can be sourced from anywhere and be any age, but please check they haven’t already been posted.
-
Censor any names/contact details of private individuals.

Mark the post NSFW if it includes nudity or sensitive content
Rules.
This community follows the rules of the feddit.uk instance and the lemmy.org code of conduct. I’ve summarised them here:
- Be civil, remember the human.
- No insulting or harassing other members. That includes name-calling.
- Respect differences of opinion. Civil discussion/debate is fine, arguing is not. Criticise ideas, not people.
- Keep unrequested/unstructured critique to a minimum.
- Remember we have all chosen to be here voluntarily. Respect the spent time and effort people have spent creating posts in order to share something they find amusing with you.
- Swearing in general is fine, swearing to insult another commenter isn’t.
- No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia or any other type of bigotry.
- No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies.
Considering the absolute picturesque dreaminess of this house and that price I would deal with it. If I really didn't like it, I'd have enough money to fix it considering how much money I'd save on buying the house.
Honestly the color of the cabinets would bother me more than the stove.
As a left-handed person, I find this arrangement offensive.
70’s hibachi?
There is no explaining this kitchen.
Just the range? Not every-fucking-thing?
I might have rotated the oven 90 degrees counterclockwise and gotten rid of the island (peninsula , I guess) but I like having what would essentially be two prep stations working across from one another with one person right at the range top. This kitchen isn't actually that big from a square footage perspective but it looks like 4 or 5 people could comfortably work there without touching elbows.
The window should be a bit closer to us, the sink should be by the new window placement, the stove should be 1/2 width to the left of where the dishwasher is, the dishwasher should be to the left of the new sink placement and where the stove currently is should be walled in and converted to a pantry.
Better than my kitchen, aside from the color anyhow.
you would get your steps in, that is certain.
That's a gut-it or rent-it situation. Nobody buying that is just going to move in. The linoleum floor, fiberboard counters, paint, layout, fixtures--every single item in that room could be vastly improved.
I've seen more sensible kitchen layouts in the game Overcooked
Just imagine trying to clean around it.
It looks weird, but I like it for practicality. It opens up the rest of the space when you're cooking and gives you a nice counter area right beside you. I also like the ugly green.
Yeah I currently have the sink between me and my counter, so I'm chopping veggies on the opposite side of the kitchen from where I'm sauteing them. This would be great for my use case.
