Good for them! Good to hear some good news; haven't heard a good deal too much in a good amount of time

It’s what we need going into 2025!

Fun fact; Rhodesia, the predecessor state to both Zimbabwe and Zambia (~1899-1980), had abolished the death sentence back in 1968! If you ever get to visit, check out the Zambezi River, which divides the two. One of the most beautiful rivers in the world.

Fun fact; Rhodesia was a racist white supremacist shit hole.

More pro-life than the United States 🧐

Perhaps less pro-forces birth ⚖️

To be fair, America also has a bunch of kids making memes that praise a guy who shot a man in the back. So it seems the line between what is morally reprehensible and what isn’t- is directly proportional to the amount of hate they have for those killed.

I don't disagree, but I think that's a response to being able to see any justice at all. I'm sure those memers would be happy to see CEOs like that in jail.

This is spectacular news. I didn’t even know he was now president. I remember like 15 years ago he would have won a fraud-heavy election against Mugabe, he was essentially under house arrest, and his supporters were being hunted by the state.

If I’m being vulnerably honest, this combo of news is the first to make me good-cry in years.
