don't say that out loud.

It appeared to be a relatively routine moment captured outside an Arkansas prison.

An older man, dressed in a black uniform, black cap and a tactical vest pushes a heavy cart out of the front gate and across the bitumen.

No one stops him. An officer monitoring the gate opens it, and he continues on his way. The day continues as normal.

Except for one thing — the man seen in the grainy surveillance camera photo is not a prison guard.

He’s a convicted rapist, murderer and disgraced police chief dubbed the "Devil in the Ozarks", meant to be serving a decades-long sentence.

The photo marks the beginning of his 12 days on the run.

Australia's sanctions against two far-right Israeli government ministers have been condemned by the US secretary of state, Marco Rubio.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong on Wednesday morning announced Australia would join New Zealand, Canada, Norway and the United Kingdom in sanctioning Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.

Cross-posting my rebuttal of this misleading stat:

It's not just that.

Aboriginal people died at a rate of 0.13 per 100 prisoners, compared to a death rate of 0.21 per 100 prisoners for the total prison population.

[...]

The same AIC report calculated that Indigenous people as a whole died in police custody at more than six times the rate of non-Indigenous people as a whole – 0.61 per 100,000 people, compared to 0.09 per 100,000 people.

As a prison population, they don't die at a higher rate. As a whole peoples they do.

Votes 100% matter in Lemmy. It certainly affects the 'hot' sort type.

And the dad is the one who bought those relationship problems to move in with his son.

The dad has 100% already pulled his son into this before the mother ever said anything.

And what would a good father do champ?

Mate, first off he’s not your best friend.

Could anyone here imagine if their friends did something so horrible to their mother that they caused her to break down upset? I wouldn’t fucking go hang out with them afterwards, like fuck he’s your friend.

He is your father, and apparently a terrible one if this is the life lessons he wants to impart on his son that it’s okay to be an immature fuck and cheat over get a divorce.

Cutting him off 100% doesn’t sound right, but you have clearly chosen his side and to stand by him despite how wrong it is — you’re going to have to work hard to make up for your poor choice.

They’re not doing it to “be different”

Also your excuse is pathetic, “rich people are worse, so fuck it?”, do you apply that logic to say throwing trash out your window? I mean the environment already has bottles in it and rich companies do worse, so why justify not litter.

Individual actions are not the solution, but they are part of the process.

Instead of complaining that people are suggesting we go back from a rather recent change in hygiene practices to a less destructive form than what capitalism has told us we need to buy, why don’t you do something to better the world?

Let’s be real, they wouldn’t stop at only one company.
