lemurs?
Not a fan of lemmings, since everything we know about them in popular culture is incorrect - they don't commit mass suicide - and is suicide really the image we want for ourselves? @Lemminary has the right idea.
Rodents?
My favorites from this thread are Lemurs, Lemmites and Lemurians, in that order.
We could go with federators as we are now part of the fediverse, then we can also include mastodonians

Lemmites (pronounced Leh-Mites) could be one of the contenders. One can also go about saying, βLemmites here have been nothing but kind β¦.β or something like, βA lemmite suggested me this website!β
